SDC 10 Reduced Inequalities
Social equality in respect to civil rights, freedom of speech, property rights and equal access to social goods and services is the fundamental right of every human. Beyond a certain threshold, inequality affects growth, poverty reduction, and more broadly, the quality of relationships in public as well as self-esteem. In North Chennai, Ennore village, active workshops are being conducted to identify the problems of rural population to improvise equality. University is providing the free education to the weaker section of the employees and following the guidelines for the social protection of child grants, school meals, skills development and other types of programmes, which connects families with health care, nutritious food and quality education to all children to give a fair chance in life.
