Barrier Free Environment at SIMATS

SIMATS ensures barrier free environment inside the campus to equally fulfill the needs of people with varying disabilities and abilities. We have made use of the inclusive and accessible designs to enable students with disabilities to commute and to make learning in accessible formats meeting their levels of disabilities. 

We ensure the following:

(a) Built environment with ramps/lifts for easy access to classrooms

(b) Divyangjan friendly washrooms, Signage including tactile path, lights, display boards and signposts

(c) Assistive technology and facilities for Divyangjan accessible website, screen-reading software, mechanised equipment

(d) Provision for enquiry and information: Human assistance, reader, scribe, soft copies of reading material, screen reading and other facilities as per the stipulations of government bodies.

These facilities allows independent functioning of individuals and participate with the need of any assistance.
