Brilliant Advances: Unveiling the Future of Laser Dentistry"
On May 28th, 2023, an enlightening workshop titled "Innovations in Laser Dentistry" took place at Saveetha Dental College, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Chennai. The event was organized by the Department of Periodontics in collaboration with IDA Thiruvallur District. Esteemed speakers,including Dr. M Ragu Ganesh, Vice President, and Dr. K G Rajasekaran,Honorable Secretary of IDA Thiruvallur District, graced the occasion, alongside enthusiastic private dental practitioners and students. With a total of 22 dentists in attendance, the workshop promised to be a knowledge-filled experience.
The highlight of the workshop was the captivating guest lecture on " Innovation in Laser Dentistry" delivered by Prof. Dr. G. Kaarthikeyan, Head of the Department of Periodontics. He delved into an array of fascinating topics, ranging from different types of laser delivery systems and laser-tissue interactions to laser safety, parameters, and clinical applications within dentistry. To enhance practical understanding, Dr. Jeevitha M and Dr. Subasree S provided participants with pre clinical training, followed by engaging patient demonstrations and hands-on clinical experience. The participants left the workshop brimming with contentment and a profound sense of fulfillment, having gained invaluable knowledge and extensive clinical exposure during the event.
